A warm and welcoming start to education
At St Martin’s Pre-Prep, we pride ourselves on fostering critical thinking and creativity from a young age. Each year becomes progressively more structured, to prepare children for their educational journey while still maintaining a fun and engaging environment. We are a happy, nurturing, family-oriented preschool where parents are encouraged to be an active part of our community. Our open-door policy ensures regular communication with parents, providing peace of mind.
Inspiring creativity and effective communication
Our programme allows children to develop their creativity, enhance communication skills, and acquire social interaction abilities through play. At this developmental stage, children learn about themselves through activities such as baking, climbing, running, construction, creating, singing, dancing, and communicating. Foundational literacy and numeracy skills form the basis of our curriculum. Weekly visits to the library and music rooms further cultivate a love of reading and music.
Holistic development - emotional, spiritual and cognitive growth
Our vibrant classrooms are filled with the chatter of happy, busy children. We believe in developing children who are physically, emotionally, spiritually, and cognitively ready to face future challenges. A visit to our Pre-Prep facility will highlight the qualitative difference between child-care and early education, underscoring the importance of a structured educational foundation at this age. Our highly skilled teachers ensure that learning is fun and engaging.
During STEAM lessons, children experience the integration of art, science, and mathematics, which makes their learning relevant and exciting. Our curriculum incorporates internationally accredited methodologies, which cater to the unique ways modern children learn, and ensure that they are up-to-date with educational trends and practices.
Where every child is known
At St Martin’s, every child receives individual attention. Our small class sizes ensure that no child is lost in a large school environment, and each student receives the support they need to thrive. Our Pre-Prep school fees cover a wide range of activities and services, including the Kinetix Programme, Play Ball, integrated sports, extra-curricular activities, and digital learning from Grade 000 onwards. Music lessons and art classes in our specially designed art room are also included.
Your child will be stimulated daily with out-of-the-box thinking, developing confidence and exploring their potential in areas such as mathematics, music, the arts, and mountain biking. Children in our Pre-Prep school from Grade 000 to 0 receive a cooked meal each day, which is provided at no additional cost to parents.

Afternoon supervision - safe and enriching after-school care
St Martin’s School offers an Afternoon Supervision programme designed exclusively for our Pre-Prep students, which provides a safe environment where pupils can play in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. This service is included in the fees, and is available to all pre-prep children from 13h45 to 17h00 Monday to Thursday, and until 16h00 on Fridays.
