Ann Leepile: From St Martin’s Alumna to Empowering Leader in Finance
Reflecting on her time at St Martin’s, Ann Leepile, a proud member of the Class of 1997, holds numerous precious memories close to her heart. From the lifelong friendships forged during her years at the school to the laughter shared in the boarding house, each experience is a cherished part of her journey. Among these memories, the taste of Manny’s famous fish and chips stands out as a delightful reminder of her school days, symbolizing the simple joys that contributed to her growth and happiness during those formative years.
One of the most influential figures in Ann’s life at St Martin’s was her teacher, Lynne Manderson. Ann credits Ms Manderson with teaching her a vital lesson: that women can achieve anything men can, and that success is not a competition. Instead, Ms Manderson emphasized the importance of collaboration and the belief that there is enough space in the world for everyone to thrive. This empowering message has stayed with Ann throughout her career, inspiring her to support and uplift others in their pursuits.
Now a proud mother of three, Ann's journey has been marked by significant accomplishments that reflect her dedication and hard work. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree and became a CFA Charterholder, showcasing her expertise in the financial sector. Furthermore, she successfully completed the Women in Leadership programme at Stanford Graduate School of Business, further enhancing her leadership skills. Today, Ann serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Investments at Alexander Forbes, where she continues to break barriers and pave the way for future generations of women in leadership.
