St Martin's students celebrate their Heritage
A small group of girls came to see Ms de Abreu some weeks ago with the request to celebrate Heritage Day. They had a clear plan in mind and had also thought about the details of executing their idea.
We didn’t need to add much and this celebration of the many cultures represented at St Martin’s was a great success. I have never seen a school so willing to dress up in their cultural outfits and enter into the spirit of Heritage Day as I saw this week. The various cultures represented were from Portuguese, Zulu, German and Indian to Jewish, French, Xhosa and Sotho.
From the photos, you can see the bright array of colours and the wide variety of clothes.
