Coronavirus COVID-19 Announcement

In response to the worldwide Corona Virus pandemic and the President’s address yesterday, St Martin’s School will close at the end of school today Monday, 16 March. Boarding students will leave as soon as parents have been able to make suitable arrangements for their children to leave the boarding house and return home.

The Independent Schools Association (ISASA) will inform us of the amended academic calendar and we may have to adjust our School holidays this year.  Please be prepared for this.

It is crucial for all our students, but in particular our matrics to complete the academic curricula despite the school closure.  To this end the teachers will make subject content and learning available to students for the next three weeks until the end of term on 9 April.

It is incumbent on all of us to be responsible and caring citizens and to co-operate in preventing the spread of the Corona Virus. We urge you all to adhere to the hygiene guidelines set out by the World Health Organisation in your homes and places of work, minimize contact with other individuals and restrict any non-essential domestic and international travel at this time.

We wish all families well at this time and look forward to welcoming everyone back after the Corona Virus pandemic has eased and it is deemed safe for students to return to school.
