Form One enrichment programme

While the high school wrote exams the Form One’s enjoyed various outings as part of an enrichment programme of learning and discovering, designed to foster an enquiring mind, encourage collaboration and independent thought. The programme is a move away from marks-driven learning to a learning driven by discovery and curiosity.

The programme included extended interdisciplinary learning sessions on campus and many learning opportunities off campus.

The outings have included a trip on the Gautrain, Suikerbosrand, Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, Wits Origins Centre, Wits Art Museum, Constitution Hill, The SA Military Museum, Lesedi Cultural Village, Smuts House and the Children of Willesden Lane programme at the Lindner auditorium.

Ridwaan Khan had this to say: “I enjoyed spending time together as a grade. I found the museums to be most informative and thoroughly enjoyed the hiking – it was a fun experience with friends.”
