From St Martin’s School to 5FM: Yonaka Theledi’s Journey in Theatre and Storytelling

Yonaka ThelediAt St Martin’s School, we take pride in celebrating the remarkable achievements of the women within our community who inspire and lead by example. One such individual is Yonaka Theledi, a proud member of the St Martin's Class of 2019. Yonaka has always had a deep-rooted passion for the performing arts, particularly theatre, where her love for storytelling shines through. She believes that storytelling is more than just entertainment; it holds the power to influence perspectives, ignite conversations, and drive meaningful social change.

Today, Yonaka continues to make an impact far beyond the stage. As the Traffic Desk anchor on 5Drive, the flagship drive-time show on 5FM, she reaches audiences across the country, sharing not only vital traffic updates but also her unique perspective, engaging stories, and infectious energy. Her voice, both literally and figuratively, resonates with the nation, demonstrating the transformative power of narrative and communication.

At St Martin’s, we are honoured to call Yonaka one of our own, and we look forward to seeing how her journey in the arts and media continues to inspire those around her.
