Grade 1 visit to the Animal Anti-Cruelty League

The grade ones were thrilled to meet all the wonderful fury friends at the Animal Anti Cruelty League.

They were taken for a tour around the grounds where they were able to see where all the cats stay and the different size dog kennels. They were told how the animals are looked after and exactly what the AACL does for these animals. The children were shocked to hear how much it actually costs to look after even just one of the animals.

The AACL team were more than grateful when the pupils took this opportunity to donate food, blankets as well as money. The day ended on a high as they were treated to a petting session with the cats in an outside enclosure where they were allowed to play with the cats and give them some love.
