St Martin's mourns the death of past pupil, Hugh Masekela

Jazz legend Hugh Masekela, past pupil of St Martin's School, has passed on at the age of 78.
He attended the school in the late 1950s and often visited therafter.

His first trumpet was given to him by Archdeacon Trevor Huddleston. The photo below was taken taken on one of his visits in 2010.
His hearty laugh will live on in the memories of the St Martin's family for many more years!

Rest in peace Hugh Masekela, you will forever be a part of St Martin's school. The Masekela family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Hugh Masekela
